2. Data processed

Browsing data. The systems that run the website collect, in normal operation, some data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet protocols: IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, browser type and operating system. They are used to ensure the operation and security of the website and to establish liability in the event of computer crimes.

Data provided voluntarily. The website contains no data collection forms. If you email or call us, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, contact details, information about the facility and the service requested) to respond to your request.

Cookies. The website only uses technical cookies and the cookies needed to remember your language and the choices made in the consent banner: see the Cookie Policy.

3. Purposes and legal bases

• Operation and security of the website: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Responding to requests for information, site inspections and quotes: pre-contractual measures taken at the data subject’s request (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Performance of the contract and legal obligations, e.g. accounting and tax (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c)).
• Establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

4. Provision of data

Providing data for contact requests is optional; without it we cannot respond.

5. Methods and security

Data are processed using electronic and paper tools by authorised staff, with appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent loss, unlawful use and unauthorised access.

6. Recipients

Data may be processed by suppliers acting as data processors (Art. 28 GDPR), in particular the hosting and email service provider and our administrative and tax advisers. Data are not disclosed or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.

7. Transfers outside the European Union

We do not transfer data outside the European Union. If you follow the links to our Facebook and Instagram pages or to Google Maps, you access third-party sites that process data according to their own notices.

8. Retention

• Browsing data: for the technical time needed for website security, unless required to investigate offences.
• Contact requests not followed by a contract: for the time needed to handle the request and subsequent contacts, and in any case no longer than 24 months from the last contact.
• Contractual, accounting and tax data: 10 years, as required by Art. 2220 of the Italian Civil Code.

9. Rights of the data subject

You may at any time request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability and object to processing (Arts. 15-22 GDPR) by writing to info@sicomsrl.net. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).

10. Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
